That's where my thinking is taking me. I'm in a class, Walking through the Siddur (Prayer Book), and the ORDER of the prayers and blessings reminded me of the Major Arcana and Piers Anthony's Tarot Series. So I'm writing it out as my November project.
Yes, Alef is primacy and infinity, and the original Kabbalistic amulets, Abracadabra?, start and end with Alef.
One of the links above has a rabbi dancing or juggling with myrtle branches before the bride and groom, and then the argument is he a fool to be shamed or praised? They decide praised, eventually. ;-)
We also have myrtle, Willow, and palm branches used in our lulav at Sukkot, to be shaken in the four cardinal directions, below and above, and for some, back to oneself, along with the etrog, a citron, for the feminine side of Deity.
Now, because everything is symbolic, there are no absolute meanings and I am both free and commanded to emphasize the meanings that matter to me, as I am on my individual Journey. :-)
