Tolliver and Simon, early on: Tolliver was in Army Corps of Engineers, Simon sounds like Special Forces before his injury. How did they meet? Some scene early on, with some intimacy, like they know they're developing love for each other.
I hate the trope "falling in love", I would rather watch it grow like a well tended plant.
