My Teen pointed out that someone else came up with short statements to sum up and differentiate these three. I added font ideas. Here you go!
Emo: The world is broken and it makes me sad that I can't fix it. (Dripping, in a blue black text)
Goth: The world is broken and there's still some beauty in the darkness. (Black text, obv, Gothic Blackletter)
Punk: The world is broken and and it makes me ANGRY while I'm trying to fix it. (Red, angular jagged edges text).

7/1/20 23:19 (UTC)Punks: The world sucks, there's nothing we can do to fix it, so we might as well smash everything.
Hippies: The world sucks, and it's our job to fix it. (*starts singing "Give Peace A Chance"*)
Nerds/Geeks: The world sucks, but science and technology will help us fix it - watch this!
Party People: The world sucks, let's get drunk and high so we don't feel so bad about it.
Jocks: The world sucks, so let's play a lot of sports so we don't notice it as much.
Goths (there weren't very many of them in the early 1970s): The world sucks, but evil has its own beauty.
