MinoanMiss
3/3/26 15:49Devastating news about
minoanmiss:
(Details via her former roommate)
minoanmiss is gravely ill, currently unconscious and not expected to recover.
She was in cardiac arrest on Sunday morning (or Saturday night), and per reports, she was neither breathing nor had a heartbeat when the EMTs arrived. They resuscitated her and brought her to the hospital where she went into cardiac arrest again and was resuscitated again.
There was also brain edema, which is getting worse.
minoanmiss is likely to not regain consciousness.
Update:
minoanmiss no longer has brain function. She will be moved off of life support after evaluation for organ donation and allowed to die peacefully, not necessarily immediately.
From the former roommate: My hugs and condolences to all and I was in denial right along with you. So sudden and weird. B reported that the doctor said we'll likely never know what triggered the cardiac arrest.
Several people have posted beautiful tributes in their own DWs:

Another tribute, off her ankle bones champion story: https://full-metal-ox.dreamwidth.org/21175.html
And a poem Ny would love:

I dreamed this morning that she was horribly embarrassed for worrying us.
---
She just got her eyesight back.
I probably won't be working as a public librarian again, but I'm still LibraryGeek as that's my "natural habitat" as we covered the living room in shelves.
I have a fantasy book and padded book sleeve I keep meaning to mail to you MM, with black mermaids.
As interfaith chaplain, I wish that your spirit be fulfilled and the answers be greater than others would limit any of us, including you and your loved ones.
